I grew up in Bronte, and I’ve always believed in the power of community. This is more than the place I call home. It is where my family built its roots, where I learned the value of hard work, and where I’ve built the relationships that continue to shape my life.

My connection to Bronte is also deeply personal. I spent years kayaking up and down Bronte Creek, exploring the community from the water, and today I regularly run the same streets and neighbourhoods I grew up around. I’ve watched Oakville change over the years, and I understand why residents want thoughtful, experienced leadership.

My career has given me a front-row seat to the issues facing Oakville. As a journalist, I spent years covering municipal politics, speaking with residents, community leaders and elected officials, and seeing firsthand how decisions made at Council affect people in their everyday lives.

I later built my own small business and became deeply involved with the Oakville business community through the Chamber of Commerce. That experience taught me another important lesson: strong communities depend on thriving local businesses, responsible government and people who are willing to invest in the places they call home.

Giving back has always been important to me. I served for several years on the Executive Committee of the Knights of Columbus, where I had the opportunity to work alongside and support older adults in our community. That experience reinforced something I believe strongly: every generation has something to contribute, and every generation deserves to be heard.

Since returning to Oakville in my 30s, I’ve continued to put that belief into practice. I served on the Oakville Soccer Club Scholarship Committee, following in my mother’s footsteps after her years of service on the club’s Board of Directors. Today, I coach and mentor young athletes, helping give the next generation the same opportunities this community gave me.

I’ve also remained connected to Oakville’s business, arts and community organizations because I believe a great town is about more than roads, buildings and development applications. It is about the relationships between neighbours, the places where people gather and the opportunities we create for one another.

Now, as a husband building my family here, I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned and put it to work for Bronte.

I’m running because I believe we can manage growth without losing the character that makes our neighbourhoods special. We can make our communities safer, modernize the recreation facilities families rely on, create better opportunities for every generation and protect the waterfront and natural spaces that define life in Bronte.

I know Bronte because I grew up here. I understand local government because I spent years covering it. I understand business because I built one. I understand the importance of intergenerational community because I’ve worked alongside people of different generations. And I understand what makes this place special because I’ve never stopped loving it.

Now, I’m ready to give back.
